UNIFIED CHASSIS CONTROL WITH ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL AND ACTIVE FRONT STEERING FOR UNDER-STEER PREVENTION

ABSTRACT
This paper presents an unified chassis control (UCC) with electronic stability control (ESC) and active front steering (AFS) for under-steer prevention. Even if the previously proposed UCC gives good performance using AFS, there are still chances to generate severe under-steer situation. To cope with the under-steer situation caused by AFS, it is necessary to limit the use of AFS. For this purpose, new optimum yaw moment distribution scheme is proposed.
